Spotting William Hope ( Gorman from Aliens!) hiding out in the mines on #Silo was an absolute masterstroke. The man is still playing the same jumpy, panicking-under-pressure energy from 1986 and he completely nails it. Graham Yost the absolute boss for this casting choice. 💥🎬

Verdict on #KnivesOutWakeUpDeadMan from a priest: Pretty good. Great murder mystery. Fun. Surprisingly effective portrayal of a compassionate priest by Josh O'Connor. At times, I wished he were playing a priest in a serious drama. Also some decent theological and even ecclesiological discussions between O'Connor's Father Jud and Daniel Craig's Benoit Blanc, which is no mean feat. Plus, mirabile dictu, the correct liturgical colors for the vestments, depending on the time of year. On the other hand, Josh Brolin's character was sadly overdrawn. A few howlers that should have been caught, too: Priests don't take confessions. We hear them. You celebrate a Mass, not a service. Also, clearly an Episcopal church as a stand in. But you know what? Pretty good. Four out of five collars.
