Let's unpack this..
What if the White House has no intention of reopening the Strait of Hormuz?
What if this war is really about ships & tariffs?
I had a long discussion with senior DOE official yesterday on background. I can’t share any details but it’s clear everyone’s Strait of Hormuz calculus is wrong.
We need to go back to the drawing boards.
That's it. That's the tweet. Now a hypothetical 🧵 with my personal thoughts.
I think the key question is "Is it a boardroom level problem". To your example - cyber security is a boardroom problem, and if the company suffered a significant breach the CEO is accountable as much as the CISO and is fired in many cases (no lack of examples online). Gaza is a boardroom level problem (always has been) and Bibi is accountable for every related decision. Oct 7th proved the decisions wrong == Bibi must take accountability and go. When (day 1, during the war, elections or post war) is a different question to which I'm not sure what the answer is. Should the CEO and CISO be fired while the company actively still handles the incident?
@Millurrr@dedene@mehulmpt I do think it's needed, the same way the IDE is evolving into an "agent execution" interface for Devs (whether the agent is self built or 3rd party), and I think there would multiple such interfaces - per vertical/persona. I wouldn't call them "browsers" though..
I agree. But I also think there would be "domain specific" interfaces to manage and orchestrate the agents like Claude for dev, something different for designers, and something different for DevOps, etc. very curious though to where the line between building into a domain specific interface and building into a generic interface. Reminds me of the web vs platform native dilemma
@dedene@mehulmpt A "persona level" tool? So if you're a dev you use the one with Atlassian cause it has the majority of the context you need for work, but if you're DevOps you have a different one with the context from your deployments, observability tools, etc?
@dedene@mehulmpt I understand the UX team point, but curious to understand why you think that the future of "browsers" is in domain-specific use cases. I think that cause every product company a browser, which imho makes it essentially a desktop app for interacting with their agents.
The biggest lie of the century is that Israel is a colonial apartheid state oppressing indigenous Palestinians. In reality, Jews are indigenous to the land, Israel is a multi-ethnic democracy, and Palestinian leadership has repeatedly rejected peace offers while promoting violence. This narrative ignores history and fuels anti-Semitism.
Here's the full quote from David Ben Gurion, you can Google translate.
The quote on the wall is the last sentence after the -
The projectile in the last image is a 7.62x54 which is not used by the IDF. It's proof Hamas shot the victim. Thanks Doc.
Approx. Dimensions:
7.9 mm diameter
42–45 mm long
This is based on the approximate measurements of the 4x4 gauze pad and the 18g needle.
@evacool_ Great thread! 🙏🏽 I don't think china will risk its tech reaching Israeli (and American) hands given the level of intelligence breach in Iran.
As for Israel - if the new Abraham accords will be signed that's a huge win both for Israel and for the anti-Iran regional coalition
