Ponzi scheme. Same manure different wrapper. 11% “payout” on an asset that has no yield.
I saw him stand in front of crowd at DAS NYC and say his “dividends” are tax free because they are return of capital. I guess now they are since the capital will probably not be repaid.
He talks crap about real estate and counter party risk. He is the counter party risk.
Cook County is organized crime that is worse than the Mob. At least the Mob lets you keep some of your money. Cook County will take everything and try to squeeze you for more.
It is past the tipping point of no return. 2/3rds takers versus 1/3 makers. You get almost no value in return for anything you pay in.
Illinois is a failed state. So sad when it has everything going for it except the weather.
I'll be at @SolanaInstitute's Washington x Wall Street Summit, June 16 in Chicago, talking about institutional adoption and the role that mobile and custody at the edge will play in this next phase. See you there: https://t.co/JPE851MXvg
The annual Pentecost tradition (today!) at Rome's Pantheon is a moment of extraordinary beauty.
It occurs every year on the seventh Sunday after Easter. At noon, after the Holy Mass, thousands of rose petals are dropped through the oculus of the mighty dome.
As the petals fall, a choir sings "Veni Sancte Spiritus," known as the Golden Sequence, a masterpiece of sacred Latin poetry.
This is to celebrate the descent of the Holy Spirit on the Virgin Mary and the Apostles.
The rose petal ritual likely dates back to 607 AD when the pagan temple became a Christian church.
What do most people miss about time?
You can take control when you stop chasing income.
It's not about needing more money.
It's about gaining more time.
Real freedom = calendar reflects priorities, not obligations.

Start small & stay consistent.
My first property? $100-200/month passive income.
Not life-changing, but shifted my mindset.
That small win led to bigger deals & partners.
First deal didn't transform finances overnight.
But changed how I thought.

How much data did we need before we understood the harmful societal effects of smoking and implemented restrictions?
Actually, it was a lot.
A lot of data was needed because the cigarette companies wanted to milk their golden goose as long as possible. The cost of paying class action lawsuits in the future was far less than the cash they could make in the moment.
This is the same incentive today with social media and their app makers.
Some parents try to organize their other classroom parents together in a coalition to limit the apps. This seems to work but it’s so few and far between.
A broad societal moratorium on social media for people under 16yo diminishes NOTHING and probably helps millions and millions of kids and then these kids as they enter adulthood.
It would also help parents. I, personally, have strict social media rules for myself and my kids. And I will keep pushing back on my kids when they ask for instagram because that’s my job as their dad.
But having a broad moratorium would make the lives of all parents far simpler and, in hindsight, will be proven as the right public health policy thing to have done.
Sat through a Saylor presentation last week at DAS in New York. Super Ponzi vibes. His lackluster presentation seemed like he didn’t even believe what he is selling.
Additionally, he talks smack about real estate and counter party risk when his company is the counter party risk to the dividends he is promising.
Then there is his sleight of hand that the dividends are non-taxable return of capital. Well if you return all the investor’s book value capital any additional dividends paid are taxed at the highest rate.
Give me self custody bitcoin combined with a NNN property in the US for better tax benefits and safer cash flow.
Chicago has a public school that's 97% empty.
Not a single child is proficient in reading.
They spend more than $90,000 per student per year.
The government school system has become more of a jobs program for adults than an education initiative for kids.
The real $MSTR tension -- there are four stakeholder groups:
1) BTC holders
2) MSTR debt holders
3) MSTR pfd holders (including but not limited to $STRC)
4) MSTR shareholders
... and all believe they are protected.
Individually, they can be right.
Collectively, they cannot all be right forever.
At some point, the system has to decide who gets paid, because you can’t fund interest & dividend obligations without cash flows.
Everyone says they would die for their kids.
But would you live for them? Would you workout for them? Would you put down your phone for them?
Because the real sacrifice isn’t one moment… it’s the daily decisions they’re watching you make.
