🚨 JOKE OF THE DAY: THE WESTMINSTER CIRCUS HAS OUTDONE ITSELF.
Labour MP Andy Slaughter has just written an essay defending the backroom coronation of Andy Burnham, and his arguments are a complete comedy routine. 🤡
He actually claims that calling a General Election to choose the next Prime Minister is "not a widespread view" and would be completely "self-indulgent" for the country!
Think about the absolute brass neck of these people.
Allowing the British public to actually vote for the person running their country is now considered a luxury we cannot afford.
Slaughter openly admits that your NHS is buckling, economic growth has stalled, and you are paying the highest taxes on record.
But do not worry. He reassures us that "the mood in Parliament is lifted" and everyone in Westminster feels really positive about themselves!
Your bills are soaring, you have zero say in who leads our country, but at least the elite inside the Westminster bubble are happy.
RT if you have had enough of these out-of-touch snobs and demand a General Election NOW! 🔁🇬🇧🔥
Should Yvette Cooper resign - for misleading Parliament - in order to bring about the illegal proscribing of Palestine Action?
Please RT after voting - thank you.
@mjdaly57@lawrencekitema People forget that Jacqui Smith who when home secretary in Gordon Brown’s government said that the grooming gang victims had made a ‘lifestyle choice’.
Politicians can take the lead here, you know, like real leaders… Open up all private conversations, emails, messages, letters - put them on a public server and allow the public to view them. It can be a quango sponsored pilot. Post bank statements and investments. Assets. All private conversations with corporations. Would be a wonderful gesture.
Then, when the people reject the idea instantly, at least the commitment would have been realised.
@PeterStefanovi2@SteveReedMP No chance. There aren’t enough tradesmen, many went back to Europe after Brexit. And building materials? Good luck with that as well
