Did you know 1/3 of world languages are #African? Due the perspectives & innovation they bring, their presence in Higher Ed needs to grow.
During @MLAnews Convention in #Philadelphia we hosted a roundtable on the relevance of African languages & cultures. @visitphilly #MLA24

BREAKING: Lady Gaga has been appointed to lead a presidential commission on arts and humanities by President Biden.

Others tapped to the committee include George Clooney, Jennifer Garner, and Kerry Washington.

The group will serve as an advisory board to President Joe Biden on how to elevate the importance of the arts, including through federal support.

Biden pledged that his administration would “advance the cultural vitality of the United States by promoting the arts, the humanities, and museum and library services.”

Congratulations @ladygaga! 💙
