@TPAuganda currently handles over 6000 tonnes of cargo through Dar port. More investment is being done through the standard gauge railway which will improve on the logistics of the port in terms of volume and speed.

A train from Dar es Salaam has about 22 wagons, each wagon carries 2 containers and their capacity is about 40 tonnes each. To be able to transport that much cargo of that capacity on road, you will need over 50 trucks.

Dar port has two functional vessels that are able to make a minimum of three voyages a week.
Dar port has been consistently stable for the last 37 years as a safe route for Ugandan cargo even in difficult times.
Tanzania being a big country, it has a big handling service covering over 5 countries. Works are underway to widen the handling space for more goods to go through easily. Tanzania is trusted because of its security.
