Sunday Standard have attempted to explain to readers, like a three year old, why Kirinyaga politics is already boiling hot enough to cook my grandmother's yams.

Former Woman Rep Wangui Ngirici has finally reconciled with Governor Anne Waiguru hoping to inherit Waiguru's support to run again for Governor in 2027.

Kirinyaga Senator Kamau Murango (former Assembly Majority Leader and who was part of the team of MCAs who impeached Waiguru last time she was saved by the Senate, and who is also preparing to run for Governor in 2027) seeing Waiguru dictating who will get what in Kirinyaga in 2027, has teamed up with Woman Rep Njeri Maina and some rebel MCAs in the Assembly.

Together they have vowed to form a coalition of everyone opposed to Waiguru's style of leadership, and have decided to start kicking and going.

Njeri Maina, the youngest MP in the National Assembly, gained her meteoric fame in 2022 campaigning on a cheeky tagline; "I am the one who milks a lioness while sitting on a porcupine."

Sunday Standard did not tell us whether Waiguru is the lioness afraid of being milked and who's the porcupine, but as usual we will be there no matter what.
