@pedromueller504 Our clinical data collection totally ignores patient well-being. I would have to wake up stable patients 3x/ night when I worked as a tech. Add on alarms, 4 AM phlebotomy, and late-night meds; pretty un-holistic. Grateful this is being studied
Mentorship / people who actually care - my biggest draw to IR and DR. Albert was a KEY resource for me during the last application season. Iโm 100% here for current applicants. Reach out to discuss personal statements, get comic relief from ERAS, or workshop interview jokes ๐ฅ
Now that this years match is over, an invitation for rising MS4s: I reviewed >10 personal statements from matched MS4s in multiple specialties, sent my PS to 20+, had 10+ phone calls, 10+ text chats with applicants. Please reach out for FREE advice and app review if youโd like!
Iโm so stoked to pursue my journey as a physician and an interventional radiologist with @MountSinaiIR. I can think of no better way to kick off 6 years of IR/DR than skiing with my future co-res @ChloeGCross!
@drrussellledet Have heard itโs up to state department of health, so have been thinking of getting some activism directed at the state (At this time I believe we are priority 3 in LA with the general population)
Next in a series of IR procedure starter kits: the subcutaneous port! It was such a blast developing this kit with @MichaelRepajic. Weโre so thankful for guidance from @TulaneRadiology faculty and residents on this project ๐
IR Procedure Starter Kit
Subcutaneous port placement (eg: port-a-cath) is a procedure that involves the placement of an implanted device with the tip positioned at the cavoatrial junction that allows for rapid, recurrent central venous access intermittently for months to years.
Co-hosting an inclusive, open discussion of TACE and the PRECISION V trial (2010) with @AdlaiGrayson tonight! All questions are welcome, excited to learn more about clinical trials in IR
We would like to extend an invitation to all interested trainees and IRIGs to participate in the second session of the TNIRJC! This session will be co-hosted on October 29th at 6PM PST by Tulane U and Howard U. #FOAMed#IRad#TwittIR#MedStudentTwitter#MedTwitter
@benwhitemd Love your work as always @benwhitemd. Letโs not forget also the thousand of financial hoops superimposed upon one another that constitute AMCAS, ERAS, VSAS, (and the NBME).
Keeping down costs is not advantageous us to the AAMC. Of course they blame the applicant/student
