CVI organizations have been doing the hard, boots-on-the-ground work to disrupt violence and support those directly impacted by violence for decades—often without adequate or consistent funding. We are grateful to be able to support, sustain, and scale their work.
Since 2019, we have had the honor of granting more than $13 million to 136 community-based violence intervention programs across the country that are implementing life-saving strategies, like street outreach, hospital-based violence intervention, and youth development and counseling.
“Investing in CVI organizations is a proven, research-backed solution to ending gun violence… With our renewed commitment and collaboration, we will ensure these essential stakeholders have the necessary resources to protect the precious lives of our neighbors today and ensure their continued impact tomorrow.” - @MichaelSSpence, Managing Director of Community Safety Initiatives at Everytown and creator of the Everytown Community Safety Fund https://t.co/6v5C4eQdYA
