Jaxon Cover is the first player EVER from the Cayman Islands to be drafted to the NHL after being selected at #32 by the Ottawa Senators 🇰🇾
He was raised in the Cayman Islands exclusively playing roller hockey until he was 13 years old before moving to Canada.
What a story!
Community note - that former Fox host who is spewing racist rants about Haitians is utterly irrelevant. We make her relevant when we retweet her to show our outrage. Let’s stop doing that so she can shrivel away. Her only coin is attention. Starve her. Sure, you get eyeballs on your own messages when you repost her with your editorial comments. But you’re just making her relevant and giving her a power. Ignore the racist, and let’s focus on solving the actual problem.
Police confirm that Pete Buttigieg was the target of a false report that he says forced him to spend a night away from his four-year-old twins. He described the 24-hour ordeal as “among the darkest hours of my life.”

They said this about Italians, Irish, Eastern Europeans, Jews, Asians and every other group of immigrants that arrived in America, that they wouldn't "assimilate."
Then as now it's a crock of bigoted baloney.

@TonyGaglia75858@ByMHarrington Will def miss Tuch but Sabres have a pretty full cupboard and some assets as well. Seemed like too much $ for him imo. Glad he got it though. He was a great Sabre.
I'm not running for office. But if I were, these are some of the lessons I'd take away from what happened in NY yesterday.
1. Authenticity is measurable. Voters can smell a focus group from a mile away.
2. Endorsements from the current Democratic leadership now read like warnings. The establishment wing of the party is no longer a sword. It's a question mark.
3. Conviction beats caution. The candidates who said hard things about rent, about who pays for what, about Gaza, they won. The triangulators lost.
4. Cost of living is everything. Everything else is wallpaper.
5. The middle is not a strategy. It's an empty room. Voters reached past the establishment to grab someone who actually believes something.
6. Don't fear the base. Court it. The Democrats who ran from their own voters lost. The ones who ran toward them won.
7. If you want to lead a party you have to be willing to fight inside it. Mamdani didn't ask permission. He took the field.
The lesson under the lessons: the country is tired of being managed. People want to be led.
Sen. Tuberville promised voters he would donate “every dime” he made in Washington, D.C., to Alabama veterans — and even present checks on a monthly basis. Six years later, tax records and his own nonprofit show no evidence that ever happened.

Micah Lasher in victory speech: "I have some news for the two big AI companies who’ve taken such an unusual interest in who won this congressional seat: I won’t be taking my cues from either of you when it comes to protecting our kids, our jobs, our environment." #NY12
