@fba Would you go for the same strategy if the topic is much more narrow and everything past 50+ pages just becomes “irrelevant fluff”? Sounds more like an approach for big enterprise solutions that should definitely “own” a topic (or multiple) related to their company?
@SEO_Suedwest@lilyraynyc *less costs as in less costs for the AI agent to compute the webpage and less costs for cloudflare because there are fewer file sizes involved
@DivertCRO Buyer - almost none.
But my theory is: Journalists or award committees do, and an outstanding about us page (or everything above average) can leave a significant impact on those people.
Who doesn't want these sweet articles about your company in the media for free? (still rare)
@pedrodias IMO since streaming platforms became so popular, it's more comfortable to watch from home. (Also, the prices for drinks and popcorn are a joke).
Additionally, today I'm more excited for new shows rather than movies, because often their production value is really high.
@LucWiesman@gaganghotra_ Did google visite them in the meantime? I had project that was in a really bad shape, did set up redirects but google kept the old url in the serps for 3 wekks (!).
When the shape of the website improved, those problems vanished over time.
@thejamescad@lilyraynyc@tryprofound But marketers will still aim to solve end user needs and problems. I'm not sure if it plays a role which company delivers our content to the end user.
Maybe the playbook has a different cover in the future, but the rules won't change THAT much.
@thejamescad@lilyraynyc@tryprofound Even google consumed and interpreted. Somehow they had decide what results ranks first, second, etc.
But I agree that the end user will interact differently with the content.
@thejamescad@lilyraynyc@tryprofound Okay, got it. Thanks!
But I'm not sure if it really shift. Maybe we shift from one bot to another. Google discovered the web with their bots, and so do chatgpt, perplexity, etc.
The new "bots" may act differently, but we always chased "algorithms"
@dejanseo Pretty Cool!
But I have a feeling that a text with SEO in mind (using longer/ specific keywords than a human would naturally do) boosts the AI likelihood really hard.
I tested some human-written but search optimized pieces, and they all scored ~85%.
@darth_na Okay, okay, maybe my example wasn´t the shiniest I could have picked 😅 The dark side wins this battle.
Could be still usefull for more complex tasks without making the result worse imo
