Soccer in the U.S. is one of the few sports, where kids have to actively separate from the HS if they want to have a chance professionally & at an age where it’s not even clear they’re talented enough yet.

@fulhamfc318 @Don_K_Williams He’s not completely wrong though. The problem isn’t that kids aren’t interested or less skilled, but that sports in the U.S. is organized differently. The path through U.S. sports is through HS and college. Unfortunately that doesn’t work for professional soccer.

The path through U.S. sports is through high school and college… unfortunately that doesn’t work for professional soccer, where sifting through the weeds happens a lot sooner and on a far more organized level.

@Kuanedge58 @BFarraye @DDuggan21 Which are still slot numbers. He got more outside usage over the last few years, but his overall usage and production dropped as well. He’s a really good blocker, but he’s not an outside guy. He’s a big slot.

@MrtnTHFC @blazedouble2 Das liegt aber nur daran, dass grundsätzlich unterschiedlich gepfiffen wird. Würde jedes Spiel gleich geleitet werden, wäre dies auch für eine CL-Finale oder ein Derby kein Problem.

@jnxSVW @Nxxh20 @juliansvwb Außen? Dafür fehlt ihm komplett der Speed. Und im System gibt’s an sich auch keine Rolle „weiter vorne“. Der muss entweder ein zentraler Mittelfeldspieler werden oder er wird kaum eine Zukunft haben bei Werder.

@MarshallGreen_ @iykyk999999 I love how everyone puts Aponte in this pedestal even though she hasn’t really done anything on a „team“ level. Abrams was a cap specialist as well, but it’s all about the overall strategy in regards to how you want to play the cap. Aponte doesn’t have a magic cap wand.

@BallerToy1327 The premise is great as is the entire setting. The acting is pretty good, but the movie feels rushed at times and could use about 20-30 minutes of detailed plot. Could’ve been really great, but is still a decent Sci-fi-Horror watch.

@adrianbb89 Jap, so sieht‘s aus. Und sooo viel Auswahl in der FA gibt’s auch nicht mehr. Vielleicht noch Reader oder Campbell, wenn er Lust auf eine Reunion mit Harbaugh hat, aber dann wird‘s schon sehr dünn. Hoffnung darauf, dass Alexander nen Schritt macht und Golston gesund bleibt 🤷‍♂️

@awthentik Go look at how much Harbaugh used wide outs over the last decade: he had five 1’000 yard receivers overall, a couple of those barely cracked that number. Thrice his receiving leader was a TE. He doesn’t use them prominently enough to worry about that position all that much.
