@TheYisusOne Perhaps nintendo has realised a longer cycle is needed for modern games compared to a cycle created back when pokemon were grid based 2d games and given gamefreak more time, giving extra headroom for visual polish and hopefully side content.

@Nakbuu_ @aproko871 @Breen_Tomi I dont really know what goes on in the fandom but based on viral stuff the algorithm feeds me, I vaguely recall there being some controversy around the series portrayal of demons as unfeeling monsters as some sort of racism allegory (idk if of a specific group, I go outside)

I just mean the general sense of 2d sprites on good 3d backgrounds. Technically speakng, square Enix has done is essentially just a more developed version of what gen5 tried

The self insertion being diegetic to the story being big twist of ch1.

@Kitsune22831399 @Cuneyt_S_Sevi I think the downside of the above was that Chara essentially became an out to pin blame on if the meta narrative flies over the players head, whereas Deltarune is much more on the nose with the whole "The player is the soul" plotpoint.

@Kitsune22831399 @Cuneyt_S_Sevi Kris is perhaps a parallel/alternative to in-universe Chara, the creepy prankster adopted by goats before the events of undertale but not really the meta-narrative version that represents the player during the events of the game, especially the Genocide route
