@DeathToBananas@OfSelina The road is shared so if two cyclists abreast on country road is it OK to give a little toot to ask them to move to single file so you can pass? There is some irony that he expected pedestrians to move but cyclists demand right to cycle two abreast!
@thespikyclub@ianbrown729@OfSelina And...a guideline. If someone decides they are safer not moving there is absolutely nothing that can be done about it.
@CliveDymond@InaDisguise@ediz1975 You think his post and comment was in any way helpful or instructive or simply 'click bait' seeking to irritate pedestrians?
@MikeyCycling@OfSelina Report the pedestrian for his 'wrongdoing'. Oh, it is just a guide and nothing you can do. It looked tight so probably safe to stay 'two abreast'.
@iainherd@MikeyCycling@JayMBurton Surely, if the two pedestrians deem that two abreast is safest, to stop a cyslist doing a close pass, then should be no obligation to move. Cake and eat it comes to mind.
@iainherd@MikeyCycling@JayMBurton 💯 they don't see the irony. Want a car to wait patiently behind 2 abreast cycles and dare you hoot! Here, most vulnerable road user ridiculed for walking two abreast despite being hooted...
@MikeyCycling The 'two abreast' pedestrians not required to move because you used bell. You wait behind patiently. No different to a car waiting behind 'two abreast' cyclists. Suck it up.
@yetiayrshore@SaferRoadsYorks Does oncoming traffic have to stop and they would be unable to pass without encroaching within 1.5m of the outside cyclist?
