So this just happened:
- a bot found a vulnerability in a dependency
- a bot sent a PR to fix it
- the CI verified the PR
- a bot merged it

My interview with @bjorn_fb is up! “Three Challenges of Distributed Teams.” There’s some great insights in there, definitely worth reading. https://t.co/RqTwKBEsUp
Wczoraj na spotkaniu Maciek Radzinski opowiadał o jego przygodach z migracją do Javy 10. Na początku z modułami trzeba bardzo bardzo ostrożnie - niemiłe niespodzianki czają się co krok.
"Architecture, like business capability and infrastructure, can be expressed in code...With architecture goals expressed as code, conformance tests can be incorporated in build pipelines" - Great article at https://t.co/J9ujMWmmJy #DoItInCode@SDDManifesto

I don't think it's a mistake to try things out at scale to see if they work. We now know checked exceptions don't work at scale, which we would not have known otherwise. But I do think it's a mistake that we have not yet disabled checking of exceptions in newer Java compilers. https://t.co/daFZyMHxqW
Java was a big deal when it came out; write a program & run it on any operating system. Kubernetes lets you write an elastic highly available distributed application in any language with load balancing & persistent state and run on any cloud, data centre or laptop @kubernetesio
@speakjava@_I_NTE_R_@arungupta@sjmaple@Sander_Mak@adoptopenjdk Everyone I speak to is still generally unaware of the future availability of LTS binaries. I want to make sure @adoptopenjdk is in a position to fill that gap that will be created Jan 2019 when Java 8 public builds are currently scheduled to end. Java needs non-commercial options
