@rabiasquared They’re not crime related, but everything else by Kate McLennan and Kate McCartney is amazing. Rosehaven, Utopia and Fisk are also good Aussie comedies but don’t have the cliffhanger energy of Deadloch. That show was more magical than the Mt Mountain Glow Worm Trail.

@rabiaandellyn Not for nothing, I think the police jumped into action, not just cuz of recent abductions, but because she was heavily pregnant and there was a high chance a medical emergency happened where she couldn’t call for help. Also, pregnancy is a massive homicide risk factor for women.

@ProsecutorsPod Neither is wholly true. Public defenders *are*, in the majority of jurisdictions & situations, massively overloaded w cases. They have to ask for funds for experts & can be denied. But paid attorneys often overload themselves & don’t have as good in-court relationships 🤷🏻‍♀️

The financial ruling was based not on how true the accusations were but on how much each person’s career had been affected, shown via Q scores etc. Thoughts?
