New Research Published: Gut Microbiome Differences in Cancer Patients
Excited to announce our latest paper is now out in Technology in Cancer Research & Treatment (2026).
Title: Gut Microbiome Alterations in Cancer and Non-cancer Adults: A Cross-Sectional Metagenomic Study
We used metagenomic sequencing to compare the gut microbiomes of adults with cancer versus those without cancer. The study reveals distinct microbiome signatures associated with cancer — adding to the growing evidence that the gut microbiome plays an important role in cancer biology, progression, and potentially even therapeutic responses.
This work is part of our broader mission at Progenabiome to decode how microbiome dysbiosis influences major diseases — from autism and neurodegenerative conditions to cancer and beyond. Understanding these alterations may help pave the way for new microbiome-based strategies in oncology.

The heat capacity of the entire atmosphere is equal to just the top 3.5 meters of the world's oceans.

Below this surface lies Earth’s true thermal vault. Earth is a water planet, and the oceans cover 71% of the surface to an average depth of 2.3 miles. Global ocean currents carry warm waters from the deep tropics to the northern hemisphere, before returning after a round trip of 1,000 years.

Without these currents, northern Europe would be a glacial wilderness, just like Greenland.

The scale is colossal. Warm waters from the Roman warm period (240 BC to 400 AD) are still returning to the mid-latitudes. The atmosphere, by comparison, is a gaseous envelope that retains almost no thermal energy, holds a tiny fraction of the planet's carbon, and is largely controlled by ocean dynamics.

The deep Pacific itself is so massive that only now it is receiving the cold waters from the Little Ice Age. We aren't starting from scratch; we are mid-cycle in a 4.6-billion-year-old time machine.

We’ve also reinvented 'climate'. Once, it was a word for the local weather of robins and sparrows. Now it's a global ideological abstraction. We’ve lost our admiration for the natural world. We count CO₂ in parts per million while ignoring the satellite-proven greening of the Sahel.

It’s time to move past the light breezes and offshore winds and look into the ocean depths for answers. Ask yourself, is the 1.4°C warming since 1850 really an unprecedented crisis?

"A major controversy has erupted over Tasmania’s largest farm, a massive 22,000-hectare property that has been prime dairy and beef country for generations. A foreign investment fund successfully outbid local Australian farmers to buy the land, but they did it using $69 million of Australian taxpayer money provided by a federal government agency, the Clean Energy Finance Corporation (CEFC).

•The foreign fund isn't going to farm livestock. They're ripping up productive, high-yield food land to plant pine trees exclusively for corporate carbon credits. Critics argue this is a greenwashing shell game, allowing big corporations to buy their way out of polluting rather than actually reducing emissions.

•The local community is furious, with 99% of residents opposing the deal. Everyday Australians were given zero consultation or say in the matter.

•A director from the CEFC (the very government agency that supplied the $69 million in taxpayer funding) sat directly on the board responsible for "independently" approving the land acquisition."

People First Party is the only party that intends to tighten cross media ownership laws that were abolished by the Coalition and One Nation in 2017.

We will ban foreign ownership of our media and prevent cross ownership of papers, TV and radio.

Ownership of the mainstream media in Australia has become too concentrated, especially when you consider that most of them are held by the same superannuation funds.

Worse. Since January, ONE company owns Channel 7, The West Australian, The Sunday Times, PerthNow, 11 suburban papers, 19 regional titles AND the Triple M and Hit radio networks.

What you watch, what you read, what you listen to on the drive home, same boardroom, and its biggest shareholder makes his real money selling equipment to the mining industry his outlets report on.

That combination — TV, print and radio in one set of hands, was illegaluntil Canberra scrapped the rule in 2017. Both majors took the media money.

Neither put the rule back.

Sydney and Melbourne?
The "lucky" ones. A whole TWO owners each, Murdoch's tabloid vs Nine's broadsheet. That's as diverse as Australian print gets.

The bush?
News Corp shut 100 local papers during Covid. Whole regions now have no local paper at all.

Only Brazil has a more concentrated media than us. Not America, Not Britain, Brazil.

So when your whole state reads the same story, hears the same take, and votes on the same "facts", that's not a coincidence. That's a floor plan.
