Which diet should you choose? Researchers @EDOR_NZ have discovered that Intermittent Fasting, Paleo & Mediterranean diets can all result in #weightloss and improvements to #health in the real world. The trick is sticking to it: https://t.co/Fzy2SNNAZZ @MichelleJospe@melyssa_roy
We looked at diet quality in the Paleo, Fasting, and Med diets and found that people who chose the Paleo diet already had a diet that was lowest in ultra-processed foods to start with https://t.co/Oo1Kj1S0Eq
@EDOR_NZ@melyssa_roy
All groups ate less ultra-processed foods (a good thing) as the study progressed – by 1 year ultra-processed foods made up 20% of Paleo; 36% Med; and 39% of Fasting diets food choice.
How do you know whether you will be able to stick to your diet? We've developed a 10 question Diet Satisfaction Score, out just in time for new year/decade resolutions https://t.co/p6r6Nl8d5c @YoniFreedhoff @JillHaszard @EDOR_NZ
Diet/Nutrition researchers, if you're about to launch a prospective weight loss trial, have a peek at this post to consider an easy and quick intervention/collaboration meant to explore whether diet satisfaction correlates with outcomes in terms of losses and their maintenance
MEN WHO'VE DIETED (only 20% of respondents men so far, want more) are you successfully maintaining a weight loss, OR have you recently quite a diet? If yes to either, can you spare two minutes for my and @MichelleJospe' research? Would greatly appreciate! https://t.co/Av5qXu9HM6
Have you been maintaining your diet and/or weight loss for a while? Looking for 2-3 minutes of your time to help me and @MichelleJospe with some research: https://t.co/Av5qXu9HM6
@DrDoriRD @MichelleCardel@DrLoneke@ObesitySociety@eatright Congrats on this recent pub and great timing (for me 😉). Just finishing writing a paper comparing intermittent fasting and diets focused on diet quality and was looking for something exactly like this!
