My reply as a mom to John Rustad’s question is anyone better off under the BCNDP govt: Yes! $10/day childcare. As a BC Liberal he refused to build an affordable childcare plan, the NDP started one in 2017. My kids are better off because of it.

Former youth in care don’t pay post-secondary tuition because of BCNDP budgets. It has made life better for those young people. John Rustad voted against that. If Rustad can’t see good policy in action, will he cut it? #BCVotes #bcpoli #BCElxn2024

BCNDP actively put in policies to reduce child poverty. When Rustad was in government, BC kids in poverty saw their child support clawed-back to govt simply because their single mom was on Disability. Shall I go on?

UNDRIP has led to true reconciliation and given us all a guide to achieve economic and social equality for indigenous peoples. Indigenous leaders say they are better off with its enactment in BC, but John Rustad ignores them, preferring to scrap it.

And maybe he forgot about the record $billions in private investment coming into BC because of BCNDP economic policies. 1000s of family-supporting jobs were the result. I was there voting for them, was he? Oh yeah, and birth control is free.
