A heat advisory is in effect until 8 p.m. Thursday, July 2, with dangerously hot temperatures and heat indexes reaching up to 105°.

☀️ Michigan summers can heat up fast. As the heat intensifies, beat it with a few simple habits:
💧 Stay hydrated — drink water before you're thirsty
🌳 Seek shade or A/C and limit outdoor activity, especially 10 a.m.–4 p.m.
🧢 Wear light clothing, a hat, and SPF 30+
⚠️ Know the warning signs: dizziness, nausea, cramps, or confusion
👀 Check in on friends and neighbors

And never leave kids or pets in a parked car — not even for a minute.
