@UKinItaly why are car rental companies in Italy refusing to take our uk issued driving licenses? Despite booking on line with details @SixtIT claimed the license was fraudulent as it had the EU flag on. @SixtUK are you aware? Our friends had the same with another provider.

So our year old Lotus Electre car @lotuscars has been waiting 24 hours for the @TheAA_UK AA Europe in Italy to recover it and take it to the garage 10 mins away at Castelletto Sopra Ticino. Surely that not a good service?

@bhx_official never fail to disappoint. Half an hour to get steps to the plane, massive queues for border control e- gates whilst the manned desks are empty. Staff chatting in groups. Car reg not recognised on pre paid parking. Always terrible.
