That's just six defeats in 34 games in all competitions for Leeds now. Only four teams in Europe's top-five leagues have lost fewer games since December. This is following six defeats in seven games in October/November. Impressive. #lufc
@EdwardDanSmith@ToryFibs Let’s keep our discussion focused on the most important aspect of all - economic philosophy. It’s what people define as “reality”. If we don’t completely drop neoliberal ideology then I honestly don’t think society can survive too much longer. The market can’t fix our problems.
@EdwardDanSmith@ToryFibs The corporate capture of government basically - that’s what has happened. The EU is a very neoliberal institution and there is a lot wrong with it but I agree with the general principle of what it’s ‘supposed’ to represent.
@EdwardDanSmith@ToryFibs But that’s exactly what neoliberalism favours - large corporations. All the competition laws against corporations were slashed in the 80s. The world is one huge monopoly- and it’s bought governments across the world.
@AlexRMair@ToryFibs That’s bc the government pursued Keynesian economic policies from 45-70s. Thatcher - and every prime minister since - has pursued Hayekian neoliberal policies (they don’t work).
@EdwardDanSmith@ToryFibs That’s exactly what it is! The “free market” doesn’t exist and it’s terrible at running public services - costly and wasteful. Neoliberalism is corporate communism - that’s the great irony.
@dlacalle_IA@ToryFibs But it’s not big government is it, the gov doesn’t own anything anymore bc neoliberal Hayekian ideology (which is the worst thing to ever happen to modern Britain) gave everything to private profiteers. But gov STILL funds everything which is why we’re skint. Keynes = golden age.
Crazy the amount of people who’ve written Delap off bc of one poor season where he was benched. This would be a great signing for any mid-table PL team.
🚨 Exclusive: Leeds and Nottingham Forest join the race for Chelsea striker Liam Delap. Everton also keen.
Chelsea sources say £50m asking price. Clubs believe £40m possible.

@1Donie Teenagers don’t tend to score many (few exceptions) I think he’s got the attributes to be a good PL striker. 30 mill would be about right. Apparently Forest are offering 45
