First sediment samples have been taken in the Hästdammsviken at Askö in the Trosa archipelago, as part of the big @EMBLtrec expedition, Traversing European Coastlines, in cooperation with marine research stations in several countries, here with @Stockholm_Uni.
The team of scientists and volenteers of @EMBLtrec, the 1,5 years expedition Traversing European Coastlines, are at Askö today, to sample both soil, air, sediment and water. This unique and giant project investigating coastal ecosystems will give data for many years of research.
We've been following the @EMBLtrec team closely as they make their way to Askö laboratory in Stockholm where our AMRI volunteers will join the sampling team in TREC's two-year mission to study human impact on Europe’s seas and coastal regions. July 14, Station 14 will be ready!
