We start the second day of our annual meeting with a keynote talk of Dr. Dejana Pankovic. She started our morning session on crop-microbiome assembly dynamics under specific environments and gave an enlightening talk on bacterial priming responses of resistance&growth parameters.
Philippe Vandenkoornhuyse presentation on the holobiont and hologenome and new ideas for agriculture. Showing that plant fitness is linked to the microbiota and soil microorganisms are important reservoirs.
#MiCropBiomes@MicropBiomes
On session 1 we had talks on exploiting plant-microbiome molecular cross talks by Alberto Spada, Denis Gunia and Esmeralda Dushku on a range of crops including grapevine, apple and tomato.

Very interesting invited lecture by Emilio Montesinos on the discovery of functional peptides in microorganisms and their potential disease control.
#MiCropBiomes@MicropBiomes
Two talks on microbial inoculants (session 3) by Núria Daranas on Bacillus and Lactiplantibacillus applied to apricot, peach and grapevine; and Iakovos Pantelides on synthetic communities that promote tomato growth and control disease.
