There’s a ton of unnatural collaboration out there today that just generally sucks. Authentic crossovers are much more effective than the forced, performative “co-sign” we see way too often. Music, brands, everything.
When a genuine collab actually fits you feel it immediately.
@NOLAnews@IlluminatorLA There are definitely some complexities to the issue, with storm water catch basins, liability, power lines, etc., but more tree canopy is a net-net positive for a city like New Orleans. No reason we can’t work together on this as a city 🌳🌴🌲
In the last 20 years, New Orleans has lost 1/3 of its tree canopy. We’re down to 18% citywide. That’s unacceptable. Atlanta Georgia has a 47% tree canopy. Oak trees not only keep things cooler in the summer months, they are incredible flood mitigators, absorbing hundreds of gallons of water each. We need to plant oak trees all over the city all the time.
@NOLAnews Further, this issue disproportionately impacts historically Black and Brown neighborhoods in the city. A deeper dive from the @IlluminatorLA highlighted this point as well: https://t.co/FnISk5xPf3
The Democrat shutdown has drained the Army Corps of Engineers' ability to manage billions of dollars in projects. The Corps will be immediately pausing over $11 billion in lower-priority projects & considering them for cancellation, including projects in New York, San Francisco, Boston, and Baltimore. More information to come from the Army Corps of Engineers.
So Nice we have to do it TWICE

We were quoted in @BBCNews today in an article discussing Spotify’s approach to AI. This is a major inflection point in our industry and we can’t leave it to the major labels to craft the framework of our future.

In light of the recent Spotify announcement this statement seems increasingly important.
Thank you to Hiatus Kaiyote for spearheading and we’re proud that @TankandDaBangas were an original signer.
“Excited to announce we’ll be collaborating with The Evil Queen, Rumpelstiltskin, and the Big Bad Wolf to develop responsible policies to keep the young women of fairyland safe in the future.”
Spotify has partnered with Sony Music Group, Universal Music Group and Warner Music Group to develop “responsible” AI products to empower artists and songwriters. https://t.co/W61GEYl8YB

not sure the statistical breakdown of good vs evil landlords, but the main drivers for rising rents (at least in NOLA) are
1) skyrocketing insurance
2) puzzling property taxes that don’t correspond with legit city services
3) fixing anything costs 3 million dollars minimum
These guys literally believe that rent is strictly a function of landlord greediness: when rent goes up it’s because landlords got greedier and when it goes down it’s because landlords got nicer. This is something a toddler would believe but it’s what they think
