Let’s keep the faith and focus on the main battle. Turning on ourselves will only divide us and we have come so far with the excellent work of our committee. #TogetherWeAreStronger#Clawback#Pensions#Banking
Thousands of pensioners are suffering due to deduction clawback, enabling big businesses like HSBC to cut costs, while plunging many, primarily women, into poverty.
I called on the Minister to provide greater support for these pensioners facing significant financial challenges.
Unite finance combine supported ex HSBC bank members & WASPI women at the HSBC AGM, in light of recent ombudsman pension rulings. We demand that HSBC remove unfair & disproportionate discriminatory clawback/state deduction that unfairly impacts women & lower paid staff the most.
@Bretheren@redundantbanker@BraisbyI@HSBC_UK@HSBC_UK claim that the objective of the pension scheme was to provide employees with 2/3 of their final salary inclusive of their state pension. They term the amount taken as 'State Deduction' even though it has nothing to do with the state.
@HSBC_UK@SEAresource Ironic, when you are abusing your loyal ex staff by clawing back money from their pensions and calling it a state deduction. You can afford to scrap the cap on bonuses but can’t afford to scrap this? Shame on you.
On Friday, 3 May, HSBC will hold its annual general meeting for shareholders in London. For the sixth year in a row, its bosses will hear from former employees who are angry that the company is clawing back part of their pensions.
The clawbacks were wildly unfair...
@HSBC_UK@SEAresource What about your financial abuse of your long serving pensioners who helped make the bank what it is today. Clawing back huge sums of their private pension when they reach spa...SHAME on you HSBC.. All the right noises....all the WRONG ACTIONS. #ShameOnYou
HSBC chairman Mark Tucker has been jeered with cries of ‘shame’ at its AGM by former staff over what they say is the unfair practice of the bank clawing back a chunk of their pensions once they reach state pension age.
Can I ask my followers to share please. The morally bankrupt @HSBC@HSBC_UK plunders pensions of ex-staff, mainly affecting lower paid females who can lose 25-30% of their small pensions. The CEO has seen his pay rise from £5m to £10m pa.

Shout out to @hsbc pensioners who are fighting to get 'clawback' removed. The average women’s pension is £5K, male’s £22K. Clawback calculation the same amount for all, penalising low paid. Meanwhile CEO has 98% pay rise. #waspi please support & #retweet
HSBC shareholders have approved plans to scrap its bonus cap, paving the way for the group to award massive payouts to top bankers. The tense AGM today saw heckles from angry pensioners and questions over the bank's green finance strategy.

@MartinSLewis@itvMLshow Martin why did you not raise the issue of clawback on the show as so many long standing hsbc pensioners are caught in a poverty trap totally unforseen and therefore unplanned for which has lead to immense mental health issues all due to the historic and un communicated clawback?
