Watching tonight’s episode of @BBCPanorama whilst 33 weeks pregnant wasn’t the best idea. I am horrified by what has happened to maternity services, and quietly glad that I left the NHS. Can’t help but feel bad for contributing to the shortage of midwives tho #midwives#panorama
I’m finally realising how awful working within the NHS is. This weekend it hit me that I now consider having time to pee while at work or have an uninterrupted 10 minutes to eat lunch is a total luxury. Time to reconsider options.
Tomorrow with sisters in UK parliament we will seek ways to assist with tragedy awaiting US women. In UK abortion rights have progressed but in almost all of UK, a woman's right to choose as I have done each time I was pregnant is still written in criminal law. This must change.
We have less than two weeks until MPs decide if at-home early medical abortion should become a criminal offence.
Take action - tell your MP to vote to protect women's access to safe, effective, at-home abortion care.

#ThisIsGoingToHurt and the faulty emergency bell 😂 reminds me of when there was building work on DS when I was a student, we ran laps of the ward looking for the source of the bell before realising it was in the boarded off part. Just needed the Benny Hill Theme 😂
If you're worried about the mothers and babies in #ThisIsGoingToHurt then I hate to be the guy who tells you about Real Life™
Don't shy away from the trauma in the show, the pressure, the chronic underfunding. To hide from it is disrespectful.
And don't vote Tory next time.
Empathy is accepting that @jamesashton94 needed to wait until after dinner before watching #ThisIsGoingToHurt ep2. Some of us can happily tuck into spag Bol after examining a placenta, other people not so much…
If you have just watched ‘This is going to hurt’ you might be interested to hear this statistic…
For every 30 midwives who join the profession, 29 leave.

It’s been 14 hours since #ThisIsGoingToHurt and I am still quietly chuckling every time I think of “non reassuring Trace”. We’ve all met her in one guise or another 🙃 (it was probably me at my trusts)
"The ignorance on this issue of someone at such a high level of influence as Rees-Mogg is at best completely unacceptable and embarrassing, and at worst dangerous."

I have 6,000 too many messages on here to reply to everyone about #thisisgoingtohurt but thank you with all my heart. The next morning, I’m left full of gratitude for two great institutions under threat - whether pernicious or overt - the NHS and the BBC. Long may they thrive.
Two hours since we finished watching #ThisIsGoingToHurt and it is still going round in my head. The nightmares and patients faces behind closed eyelids when finally “home safe”. It just rang so alarmingly true. HCPs are not superheroes- they are people 💔
@amateuradam I can only do one at a time. Will attempt episode 2 tomorrow, not sure I have the resilience to binge this. I only recently managed to wean myself off of the anti-anxiety medication I needed to function on DS. It’s been 2 years since I left….
@FelicityHannah I have large flowers on both of my feet, only wear dresses to work and never wear tights. The most acknowledgement I get of my tattoos is when a client goes “ooh your tattoos are pretty!” 😂
