A night off for the Traffic Officers from CMPG and the Force Traffic Unit but that doesn't mean that the work stops. Many of our officers choose to work on their knowledge through self learning or brush up on those all important driving skills.

Was the Main BW Dispatcher this evening @MidlandsRP_V. Sent officers to a range of calls over a busy shift including a carjacking, a male with a knife, and a hit & run.
Also dispatched the ambulance service to multiple jobs including a burn, a female faller, and said hit & run.
I was out tonight with our @MRP_Traffic teams this evening assisting our CMPG Colleagues on our vast motorway network - the stinger brought an end to a very lengthy, high risk pursuit. 1 PIC in, 1 vehicle recovered!!
I spent my most recent patrol in the control room, assisting dispatchers with resource allocation as the duty officer responsible for all pursuits and firearms incidents. I really enjoyed working with the staff, however looking forward to being back out on the streets tonight!
Amazing Patrol tonight! Our units attended a variety of calls from door to door enquires, targeted foot patrols and a MH crisis. One call where our officers stood out was an armed male in a populated area. Response officers with tasers caught the male #redhanded, he was arrested.
A proactive afternoon for the response team here @MidlandsRP_V. Multiple training sessions were completed. Officers from our response team found themselves completing their IPP and Stinger courses with help from the L&D Team.
We hope the officers enjoy their new qualifications.
