Midlands Magpie

Birmingham based NUFC obsessive. All things Football and NUFC. HWTL!

I think it is time that we think about a hard player costs cap on all clubs to ACTUALLY make it fair and competitive.

Everyone works with the same pot of money regardless of revenue. Limit the number of transfers per season as well.

Encouraging coaching and player development

[Midlands Magpie @Midlands_Magpie]

With that midfield we have no chance today! Gone from one of the best midfields in the league to getting overpowered there. Going to be a long hard slog this season!

[Midlands Magpie @Midlands_Magpie]

We all know what Hall’s ‘minor injury’ and return to Newcastle signal. We have heard this before. 🤦‍♂️

[Midlands Magpie @Midlands_Magpie]

Lewis Hall now!

Radical new regulation idea. Limit how many players are allowed to go in one window/accounting period?

SCR rules operate on a yearly cycle.

How about something that attempts at levelling the playing field rather than reinforcing the existing hierarchy?

[Midlands Magpie @Midlands_Magpie]

Lewis Hall now. West Ham got relegated and they are in a better position than us right now.

[Midlands Magpie @Midlands_Magpie]

Still nothing from the club. This just about sums the current ownership up. Communication definitely not a strong point.

[Midlands Magpie @Midlands_Magpie]

@LukeEdwardsTele So why say anything. It’s put the club in a compromising situation now. He has already tarnished his legacy. Too late for that.

[Midlands Magpie @Midlands_Magpie]

If this is true regarding Bruno he is a rat as much as Isak. He has backed us into a corner by saying he wants Arsenal. It weakens our negotiating position massively. At least if you want to go then allow it to work for the club.

[Midlands Magpie @Midlands_Magpie]

@SkySports_Keith Zero chance he wants to come to us. Zero chance that Dortmund lower the fee. Club putting this out to make it look like they are doing something after the Bruno news this morning. Absolute clowns the lot of them.

[Midlands Magpie @Midlands_Magpie]

If the club were so focused on giving Bruno a new contract why has it not been done yet? We tied Miley down earlier this summer.
Do the club not want to do it? Or is the player not interested in signing?

[Midlands Magpie @Midlands_Magpie]

@SkySports_Keith Get to the bottom of what happened? Move on and get to work on the next target. Absolute amateurs the lot of them from top to bottom.

[Midlands Magpie @Midlands_Magpie]

@FabrizioRomano We were told that we wouldn’t have to wait for confirmation from the owners for everything. This is exactly why we kept missing on targets last year. Slow and ponderous. Give power to the people on the board. We are not a big concern for them.

[Midlands Magpie @Midlands_Magpie]

@agbnufc_ @lee_ryder We won’t as we will still want our wage bill tied to 70% so that is we get back in Europe we don’t have to cut

[Midlands Magpie @Midlands_Magpie]

@swinburne_mark Shearer. No contest. We need a centre forward. Honourable mention for Shay Given as we also need a keeper

[Midlands Magpie @Midlands_Magpie]

We are all going to look silly aren’t we saying Woltemande should start and then we will lose with him in the team. 🤦‍♂️

[Midlands Magpie @Midlands_Magpie]

@bennufc_18 We are going down this season

[Midlands Magpie @Midlands_Magpie]

@sufferingspurs West Ham will beat us. Forest will beat us. It’s us that you should be thinking you can catch. We are on an awful run

[Midlands Magpie @Midlands_Magpie]

@_EnGee Yes we are

[Midlands Magpie @Midlands_Magpie]

@SarcasticForest We will need to win otherwise we might not be safe. Don’t worry though we are along way from the previous iterations that have visited in the last few years. Hopefully Geordie Maradona will take pity on us

[Midlands Magpie @Midlands_Magpie]

I am becoming more convinced Howe thought he could bring Isak back into the squad. Pre season was based on this assumption

Post Liverpool PIF decided to sell and panicked signing the only marquee striker left who didn’t fit the system

That laid the foundation for this disaster
