@Byromew @says_badmann101 @linkuptv @MOtobora It’s a combination of EV’s and new electric buses. Heavier loads. Buses in general are heavy putting a lot of pressure in the road surface when braking. This also appears to be a TfL bus route. Wouldn’t have many HGV’s on this route. Bad road engineering.

Higher output (rapid/fast-chargers), is only available from commercial outlets at almost 90p/£1 p/Kw plus charging time and prices likely to rise. Many folk won’t remember the times when diesel/L was cheaper than petrol/L.

@jollygandt @BBCNews Completely disagree. A vehicle can break down at any time, new or old. A new car does not equate to better reliability. This is more likely to do with the company’s image, wanting premium car brands associated with the EA. Candidate could upgrade in the future, if given a CoE.

Huge demand yesterday and the timing would have put additional strain on a service which was already down.

@AndrewRendle This is similar to what happened in Leeds (2021) with their proposed CAZ - deferred indefinitely. Self-employed persons that had replaced their motors with ‘compliant’ vehicles, faced further financial difficulties when lockdown took effect. Increased debt, great for dealerships.

@stevieinselby @doeboy1 @davideWH @bri_morr Today’s compliant vehicles will be tomorrows non-compliant. DPF’s were introduced from Euro-5 around 2010+. The focus should have been on removing diesel Euro-4’s, 3’s and 2’s and similar for petrol. With Euro-7’s in 2025, no doubt another scrappage scheme in the very near future
