We're delighted to have awarded @MigrationMuseum £500,000 to help establish the UK's first permanent museum dedicated to migration.

Thank you for speaking so warmly and eloquently about our plans for a permanent home @debs_wb. And thank you to everyone who came and for your support on the exciting next step of our journey towards creating Britain's missing musuem. #MigrationMuseum#AllOurStories
Lovely evening in Parliament celebrating the exciting plans the @MigrationMuseum has for a permanent home in London. It was great to speak & share the support the @MayorofLondon and I have towards such an invaluable organisation unveiling the stories of our migrant communities.
“If we’re trying to find a British story of migration that seeks to reach beyond polarisation, the spirit of how we rewrite the story of migration matters. It’s not about throwing out one dominant narrative and writing a new one. It’s about weaving more stories into the tapestry.”
@sundersays of @britishfuture delivered a fascinating and thought-provoking @migrationmuseum Annual Lecture this evening.
Massive thanks to Sunder and to chair @rafaelbehr, to @easterncityldn for sponsoring and to @merchanttaylor1 for the stunning venue.
We’ll be sharing the recording and highlights of Sunder’s lecture soon - watch this space.
