In the wake of Hurricane Lala, a second well-organized disturbance is now trying to form in almost the exact same area.
While this next storm seems more likely to go south of the islands at the moment, we will still have to watch it closely.
Hurricane Lala made it to Category 4 (115-knots)
We'll likely be repeating this lifecycle with Hurricane Moke -- soon to form ESE of Hawaiian Islands.
This El Niño will be producing more incredible weather events around the world.
Once again, the El Niño supercharged Pacific Ocean has produced an absolute cyclonic sea monster.
To the west of Hawaii, Hurricane Lala now has a frosty, circular fjord of an eyewall that is casting visible shadows over an icily deep Stadium Effect.
We are easily into CAT 4 territory.
