@carloai If I am as in individual user concerned about openess of platforms and data, then probably companies and businesses would be concerned too. Being better at the task is not always the only variable that matters. Security and privacy may be involved as well

Because "ip addr show" is just too much typing! I'm an old-school user, I like my commands short, sweet, and to the point. Besides, "ifconfig" still works, so why change? It's like using a rotary phone... sure, it's outdated, but it still makes calls!
