I am writing to express my disappointment with the service I received at Cooperative Bank. I have been a loyal client for more than 20 years, and my recent experience has left me deeply dissatisfied.
On my visit to the bank to request my account statement for the period from January 1, 2024, to June 27, 2024, I was informed by the lady at the service desk that printing the statement, which totals 64 pages, would be expensive and suggested sending it to my email instead. Upon calculating the cost, it would be 64 pages at KES 120 per page, amounting to KES 7,680, just for printing.
To avoid this expense, I printed the statement at my workplace and returned to the bank to have the front and last pages signed. However, I was informed that the bank could not stamp the statement since it was printed outside the bank, unless I paid the KES 7,680.
I find this policy unreasonable and unaccommodating, especially considering my long-standing relationship with the bank. I am requesting a reconsideration of this policy and a resolution to my issue without incurring such an exorbitant Fee.
