Putting an elephant into a convention hall like this is torturing it beyond the full comprehension of any human being, because we do not possess the sensory capabilities elephants do.
Elephants have the strongest sense of smell in the animal kingdom.
They can smell WATER from many miles away.
Now imagine putting this poor elephant into an enclosed space with thousands of people, perfume, food, sweat, cleaning products, flooring, and equipment.
This elephant was hit with a massive wall of biological information and sensory overload that we cannot begin to understand.
Elephants also sense sound and vibration through their FEET, not just their ears.
In the wild, they can communicate with each other from miles away just by sensing communication through their feet.
Now imagine what that elephant is experiencing in a convention hall: thousands of human footsteps, sound systems, equipment, metal clanging, concrete, and more.
A confusing hell.
Finally, hard artificial surfaces, in this case the convention hall floor, are terrible for elephants.
It's not healthy for society. If you can't understand why, take it further, imagine instead that Musk manages to somehow accumulate far more wealth. He takes massive ownership stakes in every company. He buys out, or locks out through political influence, competitors, market by market until they fail/sell.
He could buy out the media. If they won't sell, since he owns so many major companies, he pulls advertising. He slaps them with as many lawsuits as he can throw at them until they cannot sustain themselves, and must do as he says or sell.
He'd have enough money to basically purchase any political race with ease. Between that and having the media doing his bidding, democracy is effectively dead.
Imagine he decides to offer insane amounts of money to start buying all of the farms and ranches. Now he controls the food supply. Where it goes. Who gets it. What they have to pay for it.
Wealth begets wealth. The more wealth you have, the faster your wealth grows, and the more disproportionately it grows compared to normal, working folks. A society which allows trillionaires while the bottom 50% are struggling to pay bills and wondering if they'll even be able to retire is a society that is headed rapidly towards failure. I suspect if there was a hypothetical communist multi-trillionaire that y'all would quickly realize how scary someone possessing that much wealth truly is.
Hi so this is misinformation. Markiplier had an editor that accidentally used AI stock photos without knowing it was AI. When they found out they quickly changed it and apologized. Markiplier a stance on AI is very clear that he’s against it as he has stated many times.
It is almost impossible to be in the vtuber sphere and not be aware that generative AI is bad and against artists.
Please properly educate yourself before spreading misinformation
BREAKING: BRAVO! James Talarico demolishes Ted Cruz for smearing him as not "masculine" enough to win in Texas by listing all of the things that "real men" never do.
And Cruz does every single one of them...
"Ted Cruz basically said he wouldn't use the word 'masculine' to describe you,'" Jen Psaki said to Talarico on MS NOW. "It seems pretty clear what they're trying to do here, at least to me. Not only are they going after you, but they're really trying to attack groups of people you've defended in the past, including trans people and others. What do you make of that?"
In addition to Cruz's pathetic smear, Trump's pet fascist Stephen Miller falsely asserted that Talarico is transgender. Other Republican influencers have implied that he's gay. The strategy here is clear: lean into culture war lies about Talarico rather than contest him on actual policy.
"Yeah, there's been a lot of talk in this race about what it means to be a real man," Talarico said to Psaki. "And recently on the campaign trail, I told the story of my adoptive dad, the man who gave me his last name, the man who raised me as his own."
"Every Saturday morning, Mark Talarico would mow our lawn, whether it was rain or shine, whether he wanted to or not, he insisted on mowing our lawn himself," he continued. "And then without anyone asking him to, he would go next door and mow our neighbor's lawn because our neighbor was elderly, she was a widow. And my dad never talked about it. He just did it."
"Because that's what a man does. A man takes responsibility," he said.
"A man upholds his commitments to his family and his neighbors."
"A man does what's right even when no one is watching."
"And here's what real men don't do... They don't lie and cheat their way through life," he went on. "They don't sell their soul to the highest bidder. They don't steal from other people in order to enrich themselves. And so I've said before, and I will keep saying, that real men serve others."
"Weak men serve themselves," he added. "And so I welcome this debate about what it means to be a man. And I don't think Ken Paxton or Ted Cruz are in a position to tell anybody what a real man is."
Someone should tell Ted Cruz that people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. Donald Trump called his wife ugly during the 2016 Republican primary, only for Cruz to go on to become one of Trump's staunchest supporters. There is nothing "masculine" about selling out your own family in pursuit of power.
Similarly, Talarico's disgraced opponent Ken Paxton is the furthest thing from a good man. He was impeached as state attorney general by his own party for bribery, and his wife divorced him for adultery. If that's what a "real man" does, then we need a lot fewer "real men" in government.
Please ❤️ and share if you support James Talarico!
Platner lied about the tattoo. That's been said here and it stands.
But Mike Lee didn't post three numbered points about Greg Bovino - former federal immigration officer, SS uniform, "106 million illegals" mapped to Black and Hispanic population percentages - when he teased a presidential run this week.
The tattoo is a problem. The selective outrage is the tell.
Oh. So. It's not just algae that's a problem. The Reflecting Pool is now leaking worse than it ever has (which was the reason Trump used to justify this entire project....the leaks) AND it appears the state of the art filter Obama had installed was not re-installed, hence, the algae in just 2 days instead of weeks/months with the filter. Because Obama is black.
A man in Florida is suing Jacksonville Beach police after they relied on an incorrect facial-recognition result to arrest him for a crime in a city he never visited. The ACLU says police concealed evidence that he couldn't have committed the crime, including facts about distance and license-plate-reader searches.
They're locking people up without a positive ID of their suspect? This is criminal and outrageous.
Commercial advertising, product placements, and corporate-sponsored promotions are explicitly prohibited on national parklands. The White House lawn is a unit of the National Park System. It also violates standard Anti-Vending and Solicitation Laws as well as misuse of public funds and government endorsement ethics. Everything this administration does spits in the face of our laws. Everything is a grift.
People against AI:
"AI separates art from its human essence and abandons it to a soulless mass production industry under the control of corporations. Also, AI technology has replaced 'development' with profit from partnerships, and beyond its negative environmental impacts it has now reached the level of being used in warfare. What's more, increasing the use of AI makes you more replaceable, it can make it easier to produce more things, but companies will ultimately use it to cut costs, and you'll end up producing more while earning less."
AI bros:
Someone searched for a Munich publishing company on Google. the AI Overview came back with:
"Yes, [company] is known for dubious business practices."
then added a summary. red flags. tips for users to avoid the scam.
confident and structured but was completely made up.
the sources the AI cited said none of that the AI mixed the company up with genuinely shady firms and invented connections that existed nowhere on the internet.
the publishers sent Google a cease-and-desist. Google didn't respond adequately.
so they went to court.
the court's ruling:
AI Overviews are not search results. they are Google's own words. Google rewrote the web "in its own words and according to its own structure." therefore Google is the author. therefore Google is liable.
Google's defense: users know AI makes mistakes and should double-check.
the court's response: that's not how publishing law works.
Google's statement after the ruling: "AI Overviews are designed to reflect information that already exists on the web."
the information that destroyed two companies' reputations did not exist on the web.
the AI wrote it.
Google published it.
a court just decided those are the same thing.
every AI search engine. every chatbot. every platform that takes information and synthesizes it into a confident answer is now looking at this ruling.
When your AI gets it wrong, who pays?
Bricks & Minifigs.
This story is an addictive drug. And it just gets worse. As of today, the McNeff's are now suing Bryan Mansell, (the guy they stole the Lego from), Reckless Ben and associates, (The guy who exposed them stealing the Lego from Bryan), and what appears to be every other youtuber and content maker online, who commented on the scandal.
They are being sued for, (amongst other things), the following:
"Plaintiffs are entitled to reimbursement of amounts by which codefendants were unjustly enriched"
The lawsuit goes on to list every source of income imaginable, including all funds raised on GoFundMe and GiveSendGo.
What a shakedown.
I thought the McNeff clan were just stupid. It now appears their guiding principle in life is Alec Baldwin's finger.
(Note: This screen shot was ripped from the attached video clip by Echo Base Network, run by @Nick_EBE_79. Should you wish to sue me over it, just give me a ring as I'll send you all thee likes for free. Thank you)

The Biden administration commissioned a federal study on alcohol consumption to shape the new dietary guidelines. The study found no net health benefit at any level of alcohol consumption, called for a ceiling of one drink per day, and tied alcohol to more than 200 ailments including various cancers and heart disease.
One drink per day carries a 1-in-1,000 chance of an alcohol-linked death, the authors calculated. Two drinks daily bumps that to 1-in-25.
That study was allegedly shelved before Kennedy's new dietary guidelines were released in January. The guidelines that did come out told Americans only to drink "less alcohol for better overall health" - no specific ceiling, no acknowledgment of the cancer and mortality data, "moderation" left undefined.
The person who ran the project, Robert Vincent, lost his job in a federal staffing purge last spring. He published an editorial alongside the study Tuesday: "The evidence is really pretty straightforward. There is no safe level of alcohol."
Vox reported last September that HHS declined to publish the study after the alcohol lobby petitioned to block its release. HHS says that characterization is inaccurate.
The study is now published. The guidelines already went out without it.
Kennedy spent months publicly crusading against food dyes, seed oils, and ultra-processed snacks. He said nothing about the federal study sitting in his department that found alcohol causes cancer at any consumption level.
The science was straightforward. The lobby was louder.
There are plenty of valid reasons to criticize Glitch Productions, but why are so many people surprised that they are collaborating with Fortnite? A lot of their stuff is partially funded by Epic and they use Unreal Engine (which is an Epic Games product) in all their 3D stuff.

"Killing people is bad"
"Wow, virtue signal much? What a lib lol"
The internet enabled every dumb motherfucker to just stay 14 years old forever. What do you even say to this? Yeah, your values are bad, fuck off.
gooseworx is honestly a good litmus test for seeing wether people actually respect a trans womans identity or not because i’ve seen so many people be blatantly, Disgustingly transphobic towards her for some NOTHINGBURGER reasons
