As long as you seat your ass and work, this gift must be equivalent to atleast your pay for five minutes of work to say the least, tell your big head on that dry neck to never minimise gifts worth money.Even dangote di take gifts seriously. Always the poor wanabes with stupid pride
Little story.
There’s this girl I’ve been helping out for a while now... baby daddy dipped after she got pregnant, so somehow, I became the father that stepped up. 😭
I’ve been supporting her financially here and there… She had the baby last year, moved back to Kumba, started a small business, and I occasionally send her money when the thought comes or when she says ‘hi’ on WhatsApp
she has always wanted to thank me somehow… But I HATE receiving gifts.
It’s not pride or anything; I’m just not a “gift-receiving person,” especially if we’re not very close. So every single time she offered to get me something, I turned it down.
Last week, she decided my opinion no longer mattered.
She packed foodstuff, sent it all the way from Kumba through one travel agency called Mondial, then called me afterwards, begging me not to be angry and to please go pick it up.
Bruh…
I appreciated the gesture, but another part of me wanted to pretend the package never existed. I actually decided I wouldn’t collect it. I’d just lie that I had received it and thank her.
My conscience has been wrestling with me since last week.😭😭
Since last Thursday, that thing has been tormenting me. I spent Monday and Tuesday mentally preparing myself to drive to Mvan after work. God knows how much I dislike that side of town. 😭
Finally drove there this evening after work, paid fees for late collection and collected the package, called her, and thanked her properly.
My conscience is finally at peace and I’m certain she knows not to ever do that again from how I diplomatically told her to not do it again.
What am I supposed these stuff, bro? 😭😭…
I don’t cook and I don’t even know what to do with palm oil and dry fish😭… and I detest that coconut thing… I’ll try the chin-chin though…. There’s also soap😂
Wait! It’s not bad to gift a gift, right?

Every artist needs someone like Breez in their corner.
If nobody is criticizing your project, questioning your rollout, or challenging your creativity, then maybe you’re not pushing enough boundaries.
Criticism is part of growth.
That said… there’s a difference between critiquing a rollout and reducing months (or years) of someone’s work to “a drinking and sex party.”
At that point, it’s no longer constructive criticism, it’s just rage bait.
Johny not every trend on the TL you must partake in bruuu😏
