@mangia_ange Unfortunately PA does not see it this way. They only look at your earnings from the past 5 quarters. They don't go back further, so nothing you paid prior to that counts. Also, 6 months of UC is the maximum. You then have to make more $ before being eligible for a new UC claim.
@AdonnaBARB For those that are not in the Pittsburgh or Philadelphia, either of the nonprofits listed above will assist anyone that is anywhere within the state. Both work with PA Legal Aid in pursuing legal recourse against PA L&I if needed at no cost to you.
@AdonnaBARB Any $ they owe you for weeks up to and including 9/4/21 are still payable for both PUA and PEUC. You just need to keep pursuing all of your options. You should also contact nonprofits like Mon Valley Unemployed Committee or Philadelphia Unemployment Project for help getting $.
@pennsatucky2017@TheBinder82 @faamoouszhaa @UberdriverAngry The funds for PUA and PEUC are no longer available to any state except for claim weeks through 9/4/21. The feds only approve the exact funds that PA UC approves, so there is technically no "leftover" funds. Any remaining $ stays with the U.S. Congress and never reaches the states
@pennsatucky2017@TheBinder82 @faamoouszhaa @UberdriverAngry Well stated. They have no intention of extending UC. They already spent the majority of the funds from the ARP legislation anyway. Remember, these are funds that were slated to be used of have been used for COVID anyway (testing, vaccination sites and promotions, etc.).
@DavidJo20867780@dowers_brian Nobody should get paid today because yesterday was a holiday. They are always delayed by at least 1 day during a holiday week. You can view the official payment schedule at https://t.co/g63oGXW8CH
@dowers_brian You should be able to. Many others did. The link on the dashboard that you normally use was removed. Because of that you have to go to "More Unemployment Services" and then click on "Weekly Claim Certification". From that point it should look like normal.
@KayCloudlove@finnbb4@WendyDonnelly@nancymalinski As long as the claim showed up in the Payment History it does not matter. Mine showed Payment "In Progress" and Transaction Number "N/A" like it always does, so it appears to have gone through the system okay. Now I wait for it to get a payment date and trans. # tomorrow.
@lulusaunt As long as it shows up in your Payment History list, you are okay. The system has always shown Payment "In Progress" and Transaction Number "N/A" immediately after filing your weekly claim. On Mon or Tue, "In Progress" should turn to a date and you will see a transaction #.
@TahTy9 The thing that the President was talking about most recently is that he was encouraging the states to use the COVID relief funds that the government sent them for unemployment. (Those funds are separate from the PUA and PEUC funds.) States get to choose how they use COVID funds.
@TahTy9 Unfortunately, the President does not have a say about this. Congress made the rules when they passed the legislation and what they passed says that no funds are to be paid for any weeks after 9/4/21.
@mangia_ange @DMMorris98 You will only get regular UC if you applied for a new UC claim AND you received a letter confirming that you were eligible for a new UC claim. It would show your weekly benefit rate, your application (AB) date and your new benefit year end (BYE) date.
@mangia_ange @DMMorris98 If you did not apply for a new UC claim back in the spring or summer (depending when your BYE was), then you should submit a new UC claim if you think you had enough earnings from April 2020 - March 2021 (base period).
@mangia_ange @DMMorris98 That looks like the standard notice they sent out for everyone on PEUC ARP. The PEUC ARP started 3/14/21 and ends 9/4/21. If it were a regular UC claim, it would have an end date exactly 1 year from the beginning date.
