Speeches, summits, and symbolic signing ceremonies do not grow the economy, or pay people’s mortgages and groceries. That takes results. Mark Carney’s result is the worst first-year of growth of any Prime Minister in over six decades, five of the last 6 quarters had declining business investment, doubling Trudeau’s deficit, the worst growth, worst household debt, and the second worst food inflation in the G7.
The world would invest in Canada’s resources, people and geography today, but Liberal taxes, red tape and anti-development laws stand in the way. There are 500 projects waiting—often for many years—for the Carney government to get out of the way and grant a permit. The Carney Liberals are out of touch and Canadians are out of money.
Our Economic Action Plan fixes it:
-Get permit times down to 6 months.
-Fast-track the 500 projects awaiting federal permits.
-Stop duplicating provincial approvals.
-Scrap the industrial carbon tax, the capital gains tax on reinvestments, and all taxes on homebuilding.
Results. Not Rhetoric: https://t.co/FKCwB2PnNC
Under this Liberal Prime Minister, FDI stands for “foreign direct illusions.”
The truth is that there is more investment leaving than coming and a big part of what’s coming is just foreign takeovers—a simple change of ownership from Canadians to foreign buyers without building anything new.
That’s why I call BS.
We need an Economic Action Plan that sparks real investment in building new assets that generate real income for our people: https://t.co/FKCwB2PnNC
Mark Carney could not be more out of touch.
With Canadians missing meals and mortgage payments, and days before he addresses the European Parliament (instead of the Canadian Parliament) we learn in a foreign newspaper of secret talks to make Canada an "Associate Member" of the European Union.
This is not about diversifying trade: we have had tariff-free trade with Europe for over a decade. They would buy more of our goods today if the Liberal government would get out of the way and permit mines, pipelines, LNG plants to produce and ship them.
Canadians deserve answers: Is the WSJ report true about associate membership in the EU?
If so, will European border policies apply in Canada, further overwhelming our immigration system while our youth can’t find homes?
Will Canadian waitresses struggling with rent have to pay tax dollars to the bloated EU bureaucracy?
Will Canadian small businesses be buried under the red tape of Eurocrats that have never met a Canadian entrepreneur?
All questions I’d ask in Parliament, but it is shuttered.
And one more: who decides for Canada?
The Welland welder did not elect a Eurocrat to regulate our steel. The Saskatchewan farmer and the Atlantic fisherman did not choose a Brussels agrifood regulator that has never even seen our prairies or coasts.
We will NEVER be the 51st U.S. state. And we will NEVER be the 28th EU state.
We are Canadians. This is our home, our freedom, our sovereignty, our people.
Now and forever.
🚨ALLISON INQUIRY BOMBSHELL🚨
Former CBC producer Rodney Palmer just delivered a forensic presentation to the panel on how Canada’s public broadcaster morphed into a Chinese-style propaganda arm. Called out his former colleagues — and DESTROYED whatever credibility they had left.
Wow. This is huge. @MarkCarney announcing that he’s going to divest the 92% of his portfolio that’s in American companies and move them to Canadian ones. He’s also immediately bringing back his family and will cancel his owns for a m Miami trip to stand in solidarity with freezing Canadians unable to afford heating.
Elbows…
…
Oh. He’s not doing any of those things? He’s just gonna tell Canadians to suffer while he’s entirely insulated from the consequences of walking away from talks while bragging his some kind of master diplomat?
Weird.
@MarkJCarney I would like to prove to everyone that MC has not signed more than 4 out of 20 trade and defense trade deals.
You sir are not telling the truth to Canadians!
Proof with sources! ⬇️

If you want to understand why Carney never actually wanted a deal with the US, go back to 2013.
He pushed China's currency onto the world and called it a "𝙜𝙡𝙤𝙗𝙖𝙡 𝙜𝙤𝙤𝙙."
‼️The whole point was less need for the US dollar.
Then Brookfield.
Then Beijing in 2024.
Then a Bank of China loan.
He's not pivoting. This is where he always was.

As of midnight the counter tariffs are live. Drywall and plywood 50%, framing lumber 25%, rebar 50%. Ottawa carved out the steel going into manufacturing and left the material going into a house on the list. The buyer pays for that one, and nobody asked them.
@alleria_eh@mario4thenorth You never owned Bombardier stock. Now you’re suddenly sorry for the workers whose jobs just got put at risk. Convenient timing.
Sucks to be a Liberal right now.
