Nine years ago today I went out for a cycle with friends, never imagining that day would change my life forever. It’s incredible to look back and think about everything that has happened since. I often think about the person I was before that day and wonder what they would think if they could see me now 🙏
9 years of challenges. 9 years of lessons. 9 years of progress. I wouldn’t choose that day, but I’m incredibly proud of the person I’ve become because of everything that followed 🙌
Time doesn’t erase what happened. I look back at that day with a mixture of emotions but most importantly, gratitude. If there’s one thing these nine years have taught me, it’s that life can knock you off your bike sometimes quite literally but you get back up, dust yourself off and keep going 💙 #spinalcordinjury #ifyoucantstandupstandout
