The General Assembly and state government are a better place because Bill Cibes walked those halls and I’m a better person for having him as a mentor. Rest easy. Say hello to Peg and Beth for me. Until we meet again.
(1/2) Congratulations to @SenatorCohenCT , @CMcCarthyVahey and @SenHSomers on receiving the Physician & Patient Advocacy Awards at the 2023 CT College of Emergency Physicians' Scientific Assembly & Annual Meeting.
Speaker Ritter names @mariahornct as the House Chair of the Finance Committee. Reps. Toni Walker, @rolandlemar & @SteveStafstrom will remain as chairs of the Appropriations, Transportation, & Judiciary Committees, respectively. https://t.co/jgETclAbqX
As we embark towards an all-digital government, digitizing state gov docs is two-fold (pun intended):
1. Digitize + organize existing docs to enhance accessibility of information.
2. Modernize processes + services to become less reliant on paper.

Yesterday, DAS Commissioner Gilman toured @Scan_Optics w/ CT's CIO Mark Raymond, CFO Jolita Lazauskas, & Gene Burk, Dir of Procurement Programs.
By digitizing 50 mil+ pages of state docs (and counting), CT agencies will have more accessible info while saving time, money & space.
