One of the most important things in hitting is staying behind the ball.
This not only helps our power and ability to drive the ball, but also teaches us to react to the ball the right way—which is with our backside. When we consistently do this, we drive balls we’re supposed to drive and don’t miss our pitch.

Send this to your hitter who needs this feel!
You can go to YouTube and watch the full video with a lot more great info “Thome demonstrates hips and hands at the plate.”
Less is more!!
The higher we go and as the pitching gets better, we have to simplify our movements and do less — not more!!
Great story here from 12-year Major Leaguer @helms_wes and how this worked against Hall of Fame pitcher Billy Wagner!! 🤯💥⚾️

The difference between elite players is adjustability and consistency!
In order to have adjustability, we have to be able to self-diagnose when we do things wrong and fix them the next swing or at-bat. Being able to adjust and fix our swing or approach on the next swing leads to more consistency in practice and on the field. 💪⚾️🥎
We love these conversations with pro athletes like Garrett Howe! Great examples of what you need to strive for during training in order to play at the next level. 💪⚾️

As hitters, the ultimate goal is to be able to feel what we’re doing at the plate and make in-game adjustments without our coach or parents telling us. As we head into the spring season, this should be every hitter’s goal! ✅💪⚾️🥎

“I think we sent a message first of all to society that if you keep your nose to the grindstone and work hard and you got the right people, anything’s possible,” Curt Cignetti.
Toughness, Effort and Character makes a difference.
HS players…. Ready to play in college? Here is D1 program in Charlotte, NC today. 40 degrees and raining. Cold, wet and damp! On top of that, there game field is not done so they are practicing on a softball field. It’s all about toughness and doing whatever it takes! Yea, they have an indoor facility, which they were already in earlier in the morning @Queens_Baseball@Coach_JHendrick@DirtBroUSA
