I don’t love the US just because we have a huge military, immense amount of resources and wealth, large profitable companies to invest in, and endless natural beauty.
The United States is special because the people govern themselves. Politicians are servants to the people, not rulers over them. We can say what we want and harshly criticize our government officials without fear of retaliation. The people can own weapons. The people can own property. The people can build whatever dream they want here.
The founding fathers believed that these individual liberties were God-given, not government-given. And the primary job of the government is to recognize them and preserve them.
I would rather live in a country that has these ideals and rights than a wealthier one that doesn’t.
The worst thing you can do is judge the US by the nonsense you see online. Come here and actually experience it in person. This country is amazing, and I feel very fortunate to be here. 🇺🇸
If you look through history it’s never been a good idea to judge meta based on the media headlines.
The news has always tried to scare you out of this stock. Whether it be with Cambridge analytica, the drama around addicted teens to Facebook, the competition from TikTok, and so on.
I didn’t buy Meta when it was trading for cheap in 2022 because ‘The Information’ reported on how they were about to waste tens of billions on the metaverse. Then the stock proceeded to triple in share price over the next year when things weren’t as bad as the media reported.
I refuse to make the same mistake twice. Meta is cheap, the media is scaring everyone they can out of this name. It’s the same playbook as always. Meta holds all the cards. They have an economic engine that’s incredibly strong and growing quickly. They are building super computing abilities. Even if their capex turns out to be a mistake they could significantly cut capex any time.
They have so much flexibility and options. I don’t see how Zuckerberg loses long term with this strategy.
This might be something to watch ✍️
6 politicians have bought Microsoft $MSFT this year and none have sold:
• David Taylor (R)
• John Boozman (R)
• Cleo Fields (D)
• Dave McCormick (R)
• John Fetterman (D)
• Maria Salazar (R)
What makes Fetterman interesting is he sits on the Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee
