Here’s some media literacy: impartiality does not require journalists to treat established facts as matters of opinion. 9/11 was a terrorist attack. Full stop. That has been established. Long established. Calling it one is not editorializing or making a judgement call. Years ago I used to look at these images of ritual humiliation Austrian people carried out against Jews in 1938, right after the Anschluss, and wonder what kind of people engage in such psychopathic and dishonorable behavior.

It is Swedish, British and German citizens who carry out weekly gorish plays in which they portray IDF soldiers in the most demonic way possible with medieval zeal.

It is the social media accounts who go to Brooklyn videoing themselves throwing coins and dollar bills at shocked Hasidic Jews.

Is Palestine News Network berating Jews in the streets and approaching them as they try to dine quietly in kosher restaurants.

And what about Vienna? How did producing such behavior workout for them?

Vienna went from being one of the world's great intellectual and cultural powerhouses to a city you would only visit to see it's achievements of past.

Vienna went from being the city of Freud, Mahler, Schönberg, Schrödinger, Pauli, Zweig and many others who transformed the entire world of psychology, physics, music, art, literature and philosophy to being a a tourism based city where people come to visit what it used to be in the past.

Every single person who is silent about the treatment of Jews today on social media, the normalization of cruelty, the rewarding of antisocial behavior towards Jews needs to understand that there will be extraordinary societal consequences for that silence.

Ghent University could have just sat back and watched Cambridge's reputation implode from a safe distance. But for some reason they decided that they too wanted to destroy their reputation and be humiliated.

As a result, millions of people who had never heard of Ghent University before now associate it with punishing one of their own researchers for exposing plagiarism and academic fraud.

But Ghent leadership is so ideologically captured that they believe all of this actually makes them look good.

There couldn't be a better example for why viewpoint diversity matters. They have a glaring blind spot, but nobody there can see it. So they're happily driving off a cliff.

I know a brilliant 34 year old Brazilian paediatric oncologist with degrees from top European universities, who speaks English, French, Portuguese, Spanish, and Italian.

Literally the ideal immigrant.

He was doing a research fellowship in Toronto. But even with my help (a former Immigration Minister,) he couldn’t get permanent residency last year, so left for a top hospital in Texas.

Consider the opportunity cost for Canadian kids with cancer, or his potential fiscal and research contributions. Gone forever.😡

Meanwhile, folks who came here on dodgy study permits and as low skilled TFWs who barely speak basic English get PR to deal with the huge overhang of temporary residents and overstayers from the Trudeau years.

It is impossible to overstate the catastrophic damage done to our immigration system by the Trudeau government.

We're watching an enormous misread of the results from Wisconsin. The dumb take is that the DSA has reached its ceiling, and the establishment is fighting back. That's totally wrong. The normie Dems are simply negotiating the terms of their surrender.

Those terms are obvious: the Democratic Party will ingest and mirror the key precepts of the DSA, and they won't go whole hog against DSA candidates who don't totally say the quiet part out loud. This is why Slotkin didn't endorse Stevens against El-Sayed in Michigan. It's why Schumer and Jeffries didn't endorse Cuomo against Mamdani in NYC.

In return, the DSA's most important figures will refrain from endorsing the very worst candidates. This is why Bernie and AOC didn't endorse Hong. If they had, she would have won.

The goal of the pact is obvious: candidates who are DSA in all but name, who receive unified Democratic support after the primaries, and who still have a shot at winning a general election. So don't be fooled: the DSA is driving the car, choosing the direction. The normie Dems are just negotiating over the speed.
