@gorski_lion @B1OBEY0ND How many Tau Phi Delta chapters are there now in the United States? One. And it's at Penn State. On their website, it states "Professional Forestry Fraternity that holds a special interest in the outdoors" so no...it does not operate as a general outdoor interest fraternity.

@DrLovejoyShow @BruceHardcastl4 The arrest where the kid thought was a prank took place over a year ago. One of the guys had already been arrested once. The story makes it look like the "prank arrest" just happened. It did not.

@MikeytheItalian @gorski_lion The University has NO authority or responsibility for violations of State or Federal law that occurs IN the private property of a fraternity house. The University can hold STUDENTS accountable and withdraw recognition from the fraternity.

@scottyballz99 @gorski_lion The fraternities in question are located in State College, PA....NOT on the campus of Penn State. The incident occurred ON the chapter's PRIVATE PROPERTY where representatives of Penn State have NO authority to enter unless invited.

@Mr8142 @gorski_lion Fraternities are RECOGNIZED by the University if they request recognition. Sigma Chi had already lost that recognition, but their NATIONAL HEADQUARTERS permitted them to continue to operate. ALL the university can do is withdraw that recognition.

@Birdsfan1992 @gorski_lion Penn State had ALREADY withdrawn recognition from Sigma Chi. They are now investigating Delta Upsilon. The scandal is a SIGMA CHI scandal because the SC National Headquarters allowed the chapter to continue operating after PSU withdrew recognition.

@PhilGuru77 @gorski_lion Well....PennU is the UNIVERSITY OF PENNSYLVANIA and is NOT The Pennsylvania State University. One is private and the other is a State supported University. PennU is NOT in the Big Ten.

@gorski_lion @B1OBEY0ND "I was in Tau Phi Delta". Did you get kicked out? And Treehouse is a PROFESSIONAL FORESTRY fraternity....very different from a Social fraternity. Regardless...membership is for life. So....you ARE in Tau Phi Delta.

@gorski_lion Are you in a fraternity yourself? If so....you would know that something like this could NOT have gone on in the house without EVERY member knowing...especially if pledges were involved. BUT, you are right. This is NOT a Penn State scandal. "Rumor has it" . . . bull.

@MarcWatkinsEsq That's right....make this into a racial issue for no reason. NO university in the country can pull a fraternity's charter. ONLY the National Headquarters can do that. Maybe both Delta Upsilon and Sigma Chi will lose their charter from their NATIONAL HEADQUARTERS.

@tonjkb The pledges were not MADE to do anything. Everybody acts like the pledges were REQUIRED or FORCED to participate in this mess. The pledges had a CHOICE and the ones who participated made their own choice.

@FoxNews Men who pledge a fraternity can simply say NO. A pledge class can come together and walk away. The fraternity needs them MORE than they need the fraternity. When a pledge class walks away from a chapter, it sends a HUGE message to many people who will then ask....WHY.
