Robert Gabriel has worked tirelessly for President Trump for over a decade. On May 14 and 15, the United States hosted two days of highly-productive talks between Israel and Lebanon. The April 16 cessation of hostilities will be extended by 45 days to enable further progress. The State Department will reconvene the political track of negotiations on June 2 and June 3. In addition, a security track will be launched at the Pentagon on May 29 with military delegations from both countries. We hope these discussions will advance lasting peace between the two countries, full recognition of each other’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and establishing genuine security along their shared border.

Since February 28, over 17,500 American citizens have returned to the United States from the Middle East — with over 8,500 American citizens returning to the U.S. yesterday alone.

Many more Americans have left the Middle East to other countries in Europe and Asia, and others have safely departed the Middle East but are still in transit back to the U.S.

Through the State Department 24/7 Task Force, we have assisted nearly 6,500 Americans abroad, including offering security guidance and travel assistance.

The U.S. State Department will continue to actively assist any American citizen abroad, who wishes to depart the Middle East, to do so.
