It's another #PortfolioDay !
Hello everyone, I'm Mike and here's some of my work, I'd appreciate a follow if you like what you see. Here's my kofi page if you want to send support or commission some art. https://t.co/B2v2JSOLOQ
@Grovermint Yeah it feels like nobody sees anything that gets posted. It's kind of a drain to keep putting your art into a void. I think about getting back to it but it having to start all over from scratch sucks.
Artists are TIRED.
Day jobs eat up energy. There's always a wrestling match between insufficient time and a lack of motivation. When you do have time, you're exhausted from thinking about how you should be drawing instead of scrolling.
Sound familiar? Let's talk about it:
It’s dumb that it takes about as long as medical school to become a pro level artist and that you have to be constantly making art to stay in top form like an athlete only for people to treat artists kinda shitty comparatively.
What’s the deal here
This week, OpenAI saw its products booed at SXSW, and an embarrassing viral news cycle after its CTO claimed not to know if it had trained its models on YouTube videos.
Both incidents suggest the tide is turning against the world's biggest AI company:

Creative self-doubt can be transformed into a roadmap.
Acknowledge the doubt.
Validate your feelings.
Do not criticize your skills or effort.
Instead, ask yourself: What can I do to bring me closer to confident art? ✨
My greatest advice to anyone feeling overwhelmed by a backlog (of games, books, shows, etc), who struggles to pick something and struggles to enjoy themselves.
Do not think of your hobbies as a thing to get DONE. The goal is not to finish things. The goal is to experience them.
