In 2023, Providence Firefighters responded to 47,394 emergencies, once again making us the second busiest fire department in New England.  We responded to someone’s call for help every 11 minutes, 24 hours a day, every day last year.

We are offering free safe rides home to city residents. Call (833)PVD-RIDE 11 pm - 2 am on NYE and one of our volunteers will pick you up anywhere in the city and give you a free ride home ( not in a 🚒). The safety of those we serve is always our top priority- on or off duty.
