@mikeyBinVegas@PoolCrunch@CircaSports Jets are better than most think. I don't think they'll make the playoffs but I could envision them pulling off an upset against a Lions defense that can't defend against the pass at all.
@RyanReynoldsNFL 1 potential thing that could go in favor of the Colts is that the trading deadline is a few days before their matchup with the Dolphins. The Dolphins are likely to trade some of their players for draft picks, who will they trade by that game?
@LastMenPod Somewhat bold prediction: The Chargers will win at least 1 of their next 3 games. Who will it be BUF, SEA, or DEN. Smart money points to DEN but there are some (albeit small) ways I could see them beat BUF or SEA
@LastMenPod Last year I was knocked out when I chose GB over CLE, what happened was Parsons had just gotten injured and didn't play that game. I thought GB would be good enough to overcome it, they weren't.
There's always more to a game than the spread, and an upset of a 5.5 favorite is something that isn't very shocking. I know I'll have to make some tough choices this contest where the only favorites I'll be able to choose from could be as low as -2.5, but a -2.5 favorite that is healthy is a better choice in my opinion than a -5.5 favorite that has a slew of injuries.
Why did people think this was a good game to pick? The Packers were VERY injured (enough for me to stay away) and no one knew what the Falcons offense would look like with Penix. Prediction markets gave the Packers anywhere between a 65-70% chance of winning when in all honesty should've been between 52-55% because of all the uncertainties before the game even started. Injuries are a MAJOR factor, they were in this game, they were for the Ravens last week, and I'm sure they'll be a major factor in other games this season. Its not something that can easily be adjusted for in a day or 2, it takes longer than that to get everyone on the same page about how the game is going to be played and won.
@halifaxhoops@MitchMossRadio Not really. The Packers are VERY injured and no one has seen what the Falcons offense is like with Penix so they wouldn't truly know what the best way to prepare defensively is
@PoolGenius People shouldn't be super surprised about this. The Packers are VERY injured and no one knew what the Falcons offense would look like with Penix.
@SurvivorAtlas This game wasn't going to be as good as they should've thought it would be for the Packers. They were VERY hurt and no one saw a thing about what the Falcons would look like with Penix. The injuries alone are what kept me away.
I don't know why people thought the Packers would be a good pick this week. They are VERY hurt and no one has seen a single thing about the Falcons offense with Penix. Nothing special from the passing game for the Falcons but their running game has been great and it is what's winning the game for them.
I wonder what the over/under for eliminations will be on this game more or less than 1000?
At some point each season you're going to have to play a bad team, 20 picks have to be made all with different teams, 1 (likely more) MUST be done at SOME point during the contest and not all 20 teams are going to be good, last season the 20th "best" team was a 5 way tie between ATL, TB, CAR, BAL, and IND. All finished 8-9 tying for the 20th best record. Tough choices NEED to be made in some weeks if one is to win, not every week is going to be like SF vs MIA this past week.
