Personally, I just bled over $2 million on the tape, giving back a massive chunk of my YTD pnl.

After getting chopped up on the July Brent run, I tried to hiding out in long dated calls to cap the downside, but the MDD just got too ugly. I had to bite the bullet and vomit out part of the position today.

To be honest, this price action makes zero fucking sense. But at the end of the day, it was my risk, my entry, and my execution—so I own the L.

Something I completely misread in the plumbing of this market just absolutely wrecked me, and I need a hard look in the mirror to figure out what it was.

Brutal day at the desk. I’m going to lick my wounds tonight, and tomorrow we start digging our way out of the hole.
