I re-entered the market in 2018. Decided to give it one last try before giving up completely.
Caught the year end selloff and pulled a 10x on my small account.
Caught the COVID crash down to the hour. Selloff started on a Thursday afternoon in February. Those VXX calls made life changing money. Anyone who followed along knows. I was posting my trades live on Twitter.
Caught the 2023 banking crisis. Four banks went under, and I had puts on three of them.
Caught last Thursday’s selloff. Six figure day.
I guess I can smell trouble 10 miles away. Buckle up!

@ReadMarginNotes Good idea but I would touch techs right now. Naz lost 90% on index level. So ETF wouldn't help if we were to follow the same path. I'm long gold, commodities, some defensive names and cash.

My biggest regret was not deleveraging in 2000 on the way down. There were plenty of chances. Nasdaq peaked in March, small caps got slaughtered after that, but mega techs kept marched, exactly like now. CSCO made ATH in August 2000. I had no macro sense and just kept buying the dip.
Rally days are over. Don't repeat what I did back then. Sell the rips.
